If you ask people to describe what an entrepreneur is, they often use the term “risk taker.” That’s only party true because the best entrepreneurs understand how to take calculated risks, which are really educated bets. That means sometimes you go for it, and sometimes you don’t, depending on the odds. There’s nothing random or wild haired about it.
Which brings me back to my favourite quote by Nelson Mandela, the late great leader and revolutionary who said: “I never lose. I either win or I learn.”
This has been a big part of my journey. I don’t regret my past, but want to make sure my future is more aligned with health, happiness and love. I lost far too much being an outstanding student, being young inside a library and then being tied to the billable hour behind a desk in a doctor’s office. Life is about learning every step of the way forward. Making mistakes is the way
My advice to you is that when you make an educated bet and it doesn’t pay off for some reason, don’t look at it like a failure: use it as a learning opportunity!
